Gabriel Vs. The Crusher

Remember that big wrestler that Bugs Bunny used to fight back in the day? His name was the Crusher and he had a 101 sanctioned match against Gabriel Rodriguez in 1992. Gabe beat the shit out of him:)

What Up Bitch!

When Mike, Eric, Rick & Tim gave Steve Rocco a taste of his own medicine back in 1994 by leaving the W.I. camp and starting up Girl skateboards with HIS money, it pissed off Steve's brother more than it did him. His answer was simple......He created Bitch Skateboards, a company who's soul purpose was to take the piss out of Girl and those who rode for them. Who's laughing now?

The Three Amigo's

Here are some sequence shots of Guy Mariano, Rudy Johnson & Tim Gavin in this 1992 Blind ad. The shots are taken from the 1992 Blind promo, Tim & Henrys pack of lies.

Full Menthol Flavour

Here is Pepe Martinez R.I.P in a Nicotine ad from around 1996 or 1997.

The smallest wheels on the market!

Back in 1991 that was a selling point for wheels! Here is Matt Hensley on his beloved Vespa in this A1 - Meats ad.

Robot jailed for indecent exposure!

I dont really know what the story is behind this 1990 World Industries Jesse Martinez board, but I do know it is a very cool graphic that brings back loads of memories.

Before he rode for Blind

Henry Sanchez rode for REAL. Here he is in this ad from 1990 doing a nosegrind tailgrab down a handrail in San Fran. The deck from around the same time.

Brian Wenning @ Newport Ledges.nyc.com

Here is a sequence of Brian Wenning ripping shit up at the Newport Ledges in N.Y.C around 1998. The newport ledges were a short skate over from the South Street Sea port in downtown Manhattan and was one of my favourite spots to skate in the city at that time. You had to be careful though, boards could easily ( and did ) go under the fence and into the ocean.

Zero Two, the vegetarian's option.

The Zero Two shoes were animal friendly as you can see in this Brian Lotti ad from 1992. They were made out of a velcro material and you could stick rubber ollie pads on the sides. Sean Sheffey also rode for them but they did not last in the market and went out of business a short time after coming out.

After The Elephant...

There was the Barnyard. The Mike Vallely Barnyard board c. 1990 is one of World Industries most memorable graphics. The original mold for this board was stolen from the Vision factory by a bribed worker. Guess who bribed him? If you dont know watch The Man Who Souled The World and find out ;)
