How Did They Do That?

They put a black light to good use in this 1987 Santa Cruz Claus Grabke ad, thats how.

Pyromaniac!

Alien Workshop Duane Pitre " Flame Man " board and ad c.1992-93

Riders On The Storm.

Sick Piece.

This 101 Natas Kaupas board c. 1992 has got some sick artwork on it. The piece was done by the L.A. legend Slick. I love the way he did the 101 symbol in the same style as a Krylon label, real sick.

Guy Mariano's part from Girl " Mouse " vid 1996

Panic In Detroit

That is not Jason Lee in drag on this 1992 Blind deck, it is David Bowie. A very rare board when it was released back then, I cant imagine how much it goes for in good condition today.

Worst Wheels Ever.

The New Deal ad from 1990 for " Nude Eels " wheels. They were marketed as a no nonsense economy wheel that would give great performance at a cheap price. Boy were they wrong, one day of riding and the wheels were destroyed with flat spots.

Feel Like Hanging Out?

A REAL Jim Thiebaud board from 1990.

F**ked Up Blind Kids.

Such a funny set of Blind boards from 1992. The Guy Mariano makes me piss, looks a lot like him ( no offence bro). I had the actual pack of stickers that was wrapped up just like the old Garbage Pail Kids packs from the 80's , it now sells for $130 online! Imagine paying that for a pack of four stickers!!!!

How did we skate in those jeans!

Alphonzo Rawls rockin' his big Blind Cut off's on the November 1992 cover of Thrasher. We all had a pair back then and can you imagine somebody skating a pair of skin tights in those days?

Smells Like Teen Spirit

The Plan B Mike Carroll Nevertrend slick from 1992. Such a sick board, probably one of my most favourite boards from that era.

Subway Art

A sick OJ wheels ad welcoming Natas Kaupas to the team in 1987.

Underworld On Wax

A nice sequence of Jeff Pang Backside flipping the wall at The Brooklyn Banks in this Underworld Element ad from 1993.

I need your clothes, boots and your motorcycle.

The Blind Henry Sanchez Terminator slick from 1992. I am not ashamed to say that I purchased this board for the graphic. However, I sold it a week later because I hated it! We never learn.

Public Domain

Powell Peralta Ad for the classic Public Domain video of 1988. This ad would make a sick canvas, any takers?

Spitfire's First Ad?

A very old Spitfire Ad from a 1988 issue of Thrasher.

Enter Sandman

The Plan B Sal Barbier Metallica slick from 1993.

First Issue Of Thrasher.

Founded in January 1981 by Kevin Thatcher & Fausto Vitello. To all you haters out there, check out the kicks he is wearing ;) Stop complaining and go skate!

Take That Rocco!

Powell tried to take the piss out of World Industries with this ad from 1990 but Rocco came out on top and took control of skateboarding in the nineties and Powell Peralta got flushed down the toilet.

Its That Time Of The Month Again!

The Josh Beagle " Shotgun Woman " Slick by Foundation from 1993. Reminds me of my ex girlfriend's mother from around the same time.

The Originals

A Plan B ad from 1992.

Rick " Blockhead " Howard

Just a few ad's from Rick Howard's early days as a pro. The first two ads are Blockhead and the last one is a Skate Rags ad, circa 1989-90

Park Hill Represent!

101 Gino Ianucci Wun - 0 - Wun board c.1994

First Issue Of Slap

Mike Carroll doing a 50/50 on the cover of the first Slap. It came out April of 1992 and at a cost of a buck fifty it gave us skaters something to buy when we only had some loose change to spend.

May The Force Be With You

The Plan B Star Wars series from around 1993.

He Skated In Doc Martins!

H - Street Matt Hensley ad from around 1988-89.

The Infamous Greer Park.

This park was built sometime in the late 70's in Palo Alto, California. I had a chance to skate this on a trip to San Fran about 10 years ago. It is one of the most fun parks I have skated in my 20 years of riding a board.

Eddie Murphy was a pro skater!

H - Street Alphonzo Rawls deck c. 1993.  I heard they found this board in the back of a limo with a transvestite once, or was that Eddie? who knows.

Wallows!

We all remember the " Search For Animal Chin " by Powell. A corny creation by Stacy and the Bones Brigade but it will always be a classic.

Did he really look like that!?!?

This is not a picture of me after a night of drinking, it is a 1987 Rob Roskopp deck by Santa Cruz.

You got beef?

A sick Blind Jason Lee deck from 1991, I am guessing they got sued over this one too. It is very hard to find nowadays and people pay an arm and a leg for it. A skate shop in Boulder, Colorado had this on the ceiling when I was there about 10 years ago. From what I remember ( Colorado had good weed) he paid between $300 - $500 for it!

The Perfect Recipe

Santa Cruz ad featuring Rick Winsor from around 1988. I actually did this one night to piss off some very snobby girls in a Staten Island bar. It worked :)

You wanted a war Powell......YOU GOT ONE!!!!!!!!!

This was a nice upper cut by Blind in the Powell and World Industries feud. Released in 1991 and to this day they still make me laugh my ass off!

Those are huge!

Love this Dogtown ad from 1979. Imagine having a set of those big things for your deck to play with ;)

Pass the 40!

There are many malt liquors to choose from in the U.S. St. Ides, Colt .45, Midnight Dragon and the nasty Crazy Horse. But like me, Rudy Johnson preferred the smooth flavour of Olde English in 1992. At 99 cents a bottle, how could you go wrong?

All good things to those who wait

A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti. After that I hooked up this 1992 Plan B Danny Way and skated all day long Clarice

Nervous Breakdown

Not sure what company made these Black Flag boards from around 1980-85, could be Rip Curl or Dogtown. I was going to post a pic of the GG Allin tribute board but it was covered in shit, piss and blood and had been used to whack a silly college girl on the head during a show.

Matt Hensley plays bridge?

Such a crazy pic from a 1991 issue of Transworld.

Ron Allen gave this to me and I am stoked!

Fun Ron Allen board from 1992. This must have taken a lot of balls to do......and 3 dirty socks.

I gotta say it was a good day.

Sean Sheffey in a cool Droors ad from around 1991- 1992.

Super Klein

From 1990 I believe. The minute this board hit the shops and was seen in public, Nintendo exec's spit sushi chunks all over the office's geisha girl and yelled Kill Wocco!

Mac n Cheese please

Found a pic of this Blind Gonz deck the other day. it is from around 1991 and has a very strange graphic. Would love to know what they were smoking when they thought this one up :)

The Ron Chatman Experience

World Industries board from 1990. Steve Rocco got sued over this rip off Jimi Hendrix Experience graphic, what a surprise! He made some lawyer very rich during the nineties.
